Live Update Notifications
Configure Codyx to track specific content creators and announce their activities (like going live or uploading videos) in your server. Settings are managed via the Web Dashboard, likely under a general "Notifications" or "Live Updates" section.
Note: This section focuses on managing individual creator notifications. For general platform settings (like default announcement channels for Twitch/YouTube), see the Content Notifications page.
Permissions Required: Codyx needs View Channel and Send Messages permissions in the channels you select for announcements. It may also need Embed Links permission if the announcements use embeds.
Master Notification Switch
Before configuring individual creators, ensure the master notification switch is enabled. This switch controls all notification features managed by Codyx.
- Find the "Master Switch" toggle (often labeled "Enable All Stream/Video Notifications" or similar) on the notification settings page of the dashboard.
- Toggle it **on** to activate the notification system.
Managing Tracked Creators
Once the master switch is on, you can add, edit, or remove specific creators you want the bot to track:
- Adding a Creator:
- Click the "Add Creator" button.
- Specify the creator's unique identifier (e.g., Twitch username, YouTube channel handle/ID).
- Select the platform (e.g., Twitch, YouTube).
- Choose the specific channel where announcements for this creator should be posted.
- Enable or disable notifications specifically for this creator using the toggle within the add/edit form.
- Save the new creator configuration.
- Editing a Creator:
- Find the creator in the list.
- Click the Edit icon (usually a pencil).
- Modify the identifier, platform, announcement channel, or enabled status as needed.
- Save the changes.
- Deleting a Creator:
- Find the creator in the list.
- Click the Delete icon (usually a trash can).
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
This system allows you to track multiple creators across different platforms, sending notifications to channels you specify for each one.
Remember to save your changes on the dashboard after adding, editing, or removing creator configurations!
