Welcome/Leave Configuration
Configure messages and actions that happen when a new user joins your server. Settings are managed via the Web Dashboard under the "Welcome & Goodbye" section.
Activation
- Enable Welcome Feature (Master Switch): This must be turned **on** to enable any of the welcome features below (channel message, DM, auto-roles).
Welcome Message
You can have Codyx send a customizable message when a new user joins.
- Send Message in Channel: Toggle this **on** and select a specific channel using the "Welcome Channel" dropdown to post the welcome message publicly.
- Send Direct Message (DM): Toggle this **on** to send the welcome message directly to the new user.
-
Message Content: Write your welcome message in the text area provided. You can use placeholders:
{user}
- Mentions the new user (e.g., Welcome {user}!).{server}
- Displays the server's name.
Permissions Required:
- For channel messages, Codyx needs View Channel and Send Messages permissions in the selected welcome channel.
- Sending DMs generally doesn't require special permissions unless the user has disabled DMs from server members.
Assign Role(s) on Join
Automatically assign specific roles to new members when they join.
- Use the "Auto Roles" multi-select dropdown to choose one or more roles to assign.
- Make sure the Master Switch is enabled for this feature to work.
Permissions Required: Codyx needs the Manage Roles permission to assign roles automatically. Ensure the bot's role is positioned higher in the role hierarchy than the roles it needs to assign.
Leave Messages
(Details on configuring leave messages, if available, would go here. The analyzed file primarily focused on welcome settings).
Remember to save your changes on the dashboard after configuring the welcome settings!
