General Questions
How do I invite Codyx to my server?
You can invite Codyx using the invite link provided on the bot's website or listing page. Make sure you have administrator permissions on the server you want to add it to. See the Invite & Quick Start page for more details.
How do I access the web dashboard?
Navigate to the dashboard URL (link provided on the bot's main page or support server) and log in with your Discord account. You'll need appropriate permissions (usually "Manage Server") on a server to configure it. See the Web Dashboard page.
What permissions does the bot need?
The required permissions depend on the features you use. Basic functionality requires permissions like Read Messages, Send Messages, and Embed Links. Features like moderation, role management, or channel creation require additional permissions. Check the Permissions page for a detailed breakdown.
Feature Questions
Why isn't the music bot working?
Common reasons include: the bot lacks Connect/Speak permissions in the voice channel, the Lavalink server is down or misconfigured, you're not in a voice channel when using /play
, or the music feature is disabled in the dashboard settings. Check the Music page for setup details.
How do I set up Reaction Roles?
Reaction Roles are configured entirely through the Web Dashboard. You create a menu, define the message (text or embed), and link specific emoji reactions to specific Discord roles. Full details are on the Reaction Roles page.
Why can't users enter the giveaway?
Ensure the user has the required-role
if one was set when starting the giveaway. Also, check that the bot has permission to Add Reactions and Read Message History in the giveaway channel.
Troubleshooting
Commands aren't working / Bot is offline?
First, check Discord's status page to ensure Discord itself isn't having issues. Then, check if the bot appears online in your server list. If it's online but unresponsive, try kicking it and re-inviting it. If it's offline, it might be undergoing maintenance; check the support server (see Support page) for announcements.
Why can't I see my server in the dashboard?
You usually need the "Manage Server" permission in Discord for a server to appear in the dashboard's server selection list after logging in.
